The Housekeeping Turndown Attendant is responsible to provide turndown service and clean guest rooms as assigned, ensuring the hotel's established standards of cleanliness. Responsible for reporting any maintenance deficiencies and handling guest requests or complaints. Ensures the confidentiality and security of all guest rooms.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.Maintain positive guest relations at all times.Room attendant promotes a positive image of the property to guests and must be pleasant, honest, friendly and should also able to address guest requests and problems.Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areasUse correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces, according to OSHA regulations and hotel requirements.Provide turndown service to designated rooms on assignment sheet.Empty trash containers and ashtrays.Remove all dirty terry and replace with clean par to designated layout.Replace soiled bed sheets and turndown bed.Place specified items in designated locations (turndown amenity/cards, door knob menu, bathrobe with card, bed floor mats, TV remove control).Responsible for replenishment of guest complimentary water.Close drapes/shutters.Wipe shower stalls, sinks, clean toilet if necessarySet lighting and thermostat to designated levels.Remove Room Service trays/tables/items from room to elevator service landing.Place Spectacles cloth, Velcro cord wrap, TSA bag, Collar stays and RHR Bookmarks when appropriatePlace bottled water inside the roomsPlace / Replace magazinesRe-hang/refold Guests clothsOrganize Guest personal items on the amenity clothMake up cribs and rollaway bedsRemove soil, dirt, soap build-up and hair from bathroom mirrors, vanity, sink, toilet, shower walls, bathtub, shower curtain and floor.Replace facial, toilet tissue and bathroom amenities in correct amount and location.Clean guest rooms as assigned. When full service is requested, room to be cleaned including mop, vacuum, replacing amenities and robes.Update status of rooms cleaned and turned down on assignment sheet.Return and restock cart at end of shift.Empty vacuum bag and wipe vacuum clean.Ensure security of any assigned guest room keys.Report any damages or maintenance problems to the Supervisor.Turn over any lost and found items from guest rooms to the Supervisor.Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards.Participate in quality control activities.Interact in courteous and professional manner with all guests, staff and community members.Respond in courteous, professional and rapid manner in order to resolve all guest and staff difficulties.Perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.Maintain clean and safe work area.Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment.
