Travel Nurse RN - OR - Operating Room - $1,816 per week

Position Overview TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN – Operating Room (OR) for a travel nursing opportunity in Kansas City, Missouri. Details Specialty: OR – Operating Room Discipline: RN Start Date: 06/01/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 36 per week (12‑hour shifts, days) Employment Type: Travel Responsibilities Provide basic bedside care Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication; report adverse reactions to treatment Serve as the communication liaison between patients’ families and the operating team Ensure that the correct procedure is performed on the correct patient Initiate patient education plans as prescribed by the physician; teach patients and families how to manage medication and home care needs Additional duties for Circulating OR Nurses: Respond to comfort and safety needs of the patient Accurate care and handling of specimens Monitor equipment used during surgery Inventory surgical items pre‑ and post‑procedure Additional duties for Scrub OR Nurses: Selection and handling of surgical instruments and supplies during procedures Inventory surgical items pre‑ and post‑procedure Additional duties for RN First Assistant: Assist physicians by delivering direct surgical care Help control bleeding Suture patients following surgery Stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty, lift up to 20 pounds, and handle patient lifts that may require up to 50 pounds Be aware of hazards from exposure to chemicals or infectious diseases in the operating room environment Requirements BLS certification, 2 years of recent acute care experience as a circulating or scrub nurse, and/or RN first assistant Additional certifications may be required prior to assignment Travel nurse assignment starting 06/01/2026 Benefits Weekly pay Guaranteed hours Continuing education 401(k) retirement plan Sick pay Wellness and fitness programs Referral bonus Employee assistance programs Medical, dental, and vision benefits Benefits start day 1 TotalMed Travel Job ID #1413074. #J-18808-Ljbffr TNAA TotalMed RN
