Job Title: Mechanical Assembler Job Description

The Mechanical Assembler builds and tests small products, light subassemblies, and complete units of smaller size by performing low to moderately complex mechanical and electrical assembly, calibration, and final testing. This role follows detailed work instructions, works with close tolerances to meet engineering and operating requirements, and contributes to efficient production in a modern manufacturing environment.

• Assemble and perform preset calibration and final testing on small products, light subassemblies, and complete units of smaller size according to work instructions.
• Assemble, install, align, adjust, and fit subassemblies, parts, and auxiliary equipment using appropriate hand and power tools and equipment.
• Clean parts and maintain tooling and equipment in accordance with proper work instructions to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Follow documented work instructions to develop and demonstrate assembly skills and obtain certification for the work being performed.
• Work with close tolerances and precise fits to meet engineering specifications and operating requirements.
• Pick and stock parts from point-of-use locations in stock rooms and place completed parts in designated areas when required.
• Complete all required production and quality paperwork accurately and efficiently, including Quality Assurance and Test Records.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and comply with all housekeeping standards and initiatives.
• Complete Quality Assurance and Test Records (QAATR) and assist in disassembling and handling returned units under supervision.
• Perform low to moderately complex flow and pressure testing of assembly components to verify performance and quality.
• Operate test stands to perform preset calibration and final testing of products, ensuring they meet defined test requirements.
• Participate in assembly audits after obtaining appropriate certification, as required by the role.
• Sort parts for repair units for re-use using defined checking gauges to ensure they meet reuse criteria.
• Perform final assembly of units after completion of testing and record applicable data and test results as required.
• Mount units on test stands and conduct tests to meet product-specific test requirements.
• Promote teamwork, collaboration, and positive communication within the organization to support production goals.

• Mechanical assembly experience, including assembling small products, subassemblies, and complete units.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Ability to perform basic electrical and mechanical assembly tasks as required.
• Capability to read and follow detailed work instructions and production documentation.
• Manual dexterity and fine motor skills to work with small parts and close tolerances.
• Ability to perform flow and pressure testing and operate test stands for calibration and final testing.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in completing Quality Assurance and Test Records.
• Ability to work effectively on a production line or in a high-volume assembly environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and support shared goals.

• Experience reading blueprints or technical drawings is a plus and supports accurate assembly and alignment.
• Background in aircraft part assembly or similar precision mechanical assembly work is beneficial.
• Prior experience in production work, including repetitive assembly tasks, is advantageous.
• Familiarity with using hand tools and power tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, drills, and similar equipment.
• Comfort working with automated testing equipment and following test procedures.
• Ability to adapt to different shifts and production schedules, including first and second shift operations.

This role is based in a large manufacturing facility equipped with brand-new, state-of-the-art machinery and testing equipment. The environment is production-oriented, focusing on mechanical and electrical assembly, aircraft part assembly, and automated testing. Team members use a variety of hand and power tools and follow detailed work instructions in a structured, process-driven setting. The position operates on defined shifts, including a first shift from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and a second shift from approximately 2:15 p.m. to 10:45 p.m., supporting continuous production in a clean, organized, and safety-conscious facility.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Collins, CO.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Fort Collins,CO.
