As Senior Director Software Engineering – Life Sciences at Honeywell, you will lead the technology strategy and innovation for the Life Sciences vertical of Process Automation. You will be responsible for identifying and implementing innovative technologies, driving digital transformation, and ensuring the development and delivery of cutting‑edge solutions for our customers.

Leveraging emerging technologies such as cloud computing and data analytics, you will enhance operational efficiency, improve productivity, and drive sustainable growth. Your strategic thinking, technical expertise, and ability to drive innovation will position Honeywell as a leader in the life sciences industry.

Location: Hamilton, New Jersey (hybrid work schedule). You will report directly to the Chief Technology & Software Portfolio Leader of Process Automation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with executive leadership to shape and execute the overall technology strategy of Life Sciences.
• Provide strategic direction for technology investments, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Lead and develop a high‑performing global engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
• Drive cross‑functional collaboration to ensure seamless integration of engineering efforts with other business functions and key stakeholders.
• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects.
• Manage and optimize engineering resources, budgets, and timelines, while identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure adherence to engineering best practices, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in technology leadership roles, including software, cloud, and IoT.
• Demonstrated strategic thinking and ability to drive technology innovation and transformation.
• Proven track record of successfully implementing technology solutions that drive business growth with a solid understanding of software development best practices, design patterns, and architecture principles.
• Candidate must be a U.S. Person in compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and advanced degrees in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
• Experience in life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or other highly regulated domains.
• Experience in digital transformation and industrial IoT with knowledge of industrial operations and processes.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and mentor team members.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced and matrixed environment.
• Passion for innovation and continuous learning.
• Attention to detail and excellent problem‑solving capability.

Compensation

Annual base salary range: $218,400 – $272,800. Salary is considered in light of scope of responsibilities, experience, education, and market conditions.
