Job Title

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 12-Hour Rotating Shifts (Days/Nights) | Every Other Weekend | Every Other Holiday | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to adult patients on a 32-bed medical-surgical unit, maintaining a patient ratio of 1:4–5 (days) and 1:5–6 (nights)
• Perform head-to-toe and focused assessments, administer medications, and document all patient care activities
• Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team and update patients and families on the plan of care
• Advocate for patients and support a variety of disease processes with thorough attention to detail
• Utilize unit equipment including EPIC, OmniCell, Philips Care Monitors, glucometers, bladder scanners, and Zebra phones
• Float to other medical-surgical units at additional facility locations within Fargo as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Dakota or a Compact state
• Active BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Minimum 2 years of recent bedside nursing experience in a large hospital setting (250+ beds)
• Experience in a busy Level 1 Trauma Center
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records (please indicate on resume where EPIC was utilized)
• Prior travel nursing experience required; must be willing to float to all units and locations within Fargo as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Strong ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment
• Familiarity with medical-surgical workflows in a comparably sized acute care hospital setting
