Position Overview Proficient in all aspects of an Echo Lab, including all tests (2D Echo/Doppler/Color Flow, Stress Echo, Contrast study, Dyssynchrony study). Perform two‑dimensional echocardiography, M‑mode echocardiography, pulsed and continuous wave Doppler (including non‑imaging probe), Color flow imaging and tissue Doppler, and echocardiographic quantitation according to the Echo Lab protocol. Need to be proficient in digital recording, annotation, measurements, saving, copying, reviewing, and deleting studies; complete worksheets with study findings; provide professional quality technical care for clinic patients according to established guidelines and practices; enter all necessary data into EMR; be familiar with saving/retrieving images on DVR; use PAC system to review, store, and copy studies, enter data for the final report, and print the final report; take BP, place EKG leads, and take EKG; recognize major abnormalities and report to physician/NP and cardiologist; maintain Echo equipment in operative condition; and perform routine cleaning and maintenance. Key Responsibilities Perform M‑mode and 2D echocardiograms, including parasternal, apical, and special views, and fill out the echocardiographic worksheet. Conduct Doppler echocardiography (pulsed, continuous, and tissue Doppler) and evaluate mean gradients and aortic stenosis. Perform Stress Echocardiography: connect patient to the EKG cable on the GXT machine, record resting and post‑exercise images, and document findings. Compile data and prepare patient files in EPIC and Merge; generate reports using Merge Cardio Station. Report equipment malfunctions, maintain a timely flow of patients, greet and prepare patients, and keep records according to ICAEL standards. Maintain a clean testing area, meet safety standards, attend required meetings and seminars, and participate in quarterly QI and department meetings. React calmly and effectively in emergency situations, communicate clearly, and foster positive working relationships within the Cardiology department. Experience and Qualifications Graduate from high school. Ultrasound technician training through on‑the‑job experience or an accredited 1‑2 year ultrasound program. Basic EKG interpretation and proficiency in CP. 1–3 years of previous Echo Lab experience. Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, hemodynamics, and basic digital echocardiography principles. Familiarity with contrast study procedures and exercise electrocardiography equipment. Proficiency in M‑mode, 2D, Doppler, Color flow imaging, and trend rapid image recording after exercise. Compensation The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $24.02–36.03 for a Medical Assistant; for a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant the range is $22.97–24.57. Actual pay is determined by skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package. #J-18808-Ljbffr
