Compliance Expert - Regulatory Affairs

What you'll do Mercor is partnering with leading AI labs to advance frontier agent evaluations in compliance. As a Compliance & Regulatory Expert, you'll build long‑horizon compliance tasks that mirror the work you already do, each paired with a deterministic rubric that grades agent performance against verifiable ground truth. Tasks need to have checkable answers; no open‑ended essays, no subjective judgment calls. Expect to build scenarios across: Policy and program design : policies covering a required element list, training materials against a defined curriculum Regulatory tracking : rule change analyses with a ground‑truth applicability decision Assessments : risk assessments with defined scoring, DPIAs with required sections and correct control mappings These scenarios will be challenging and take long sessions of focus. Who we're looking for 3+ years in compliance, privacy, or regulatory affairs Expertise in one or more of the following: GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, SOX, AML/KYC, the EU AI Act Comfortable reading and producing compliance artifacts: policies, risk assessments, training materials, regulatory change memos Clear written communication; can articulate reasoning step by step and encode it into deterministic rubrics CIPP, CAMS, JD, or equivalent preferred Located in the United States Compensation $90–$125/hr depending on domain depth and prior experience.
