Industrial Electrician - 3rd Shift

Maintenance TechnicianPosition Overview: Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment to minimize downtime and ensure safe, efficient operations.Key Responsibilities:Follow all safety policies and practice safe work habits at all times.Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems.Diagnose and repair equipment issues, including machinery, motors, control panels, and industrial systems.Troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs), A/C and D/C drives, HMIs, VFDs, and control systems.Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.Set up, align, and adjust equipment for optimal performance and product quality.Utilize maintenance software to plan, schedule, track, and complete work.Maintain equipment to maximize uptime, capacity, and efficiency.Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime, especially during overnight/3rd shift operations.Assist with installation, commissioning, and upgrades of new equipment.Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.Train and support other maintenance team members on procedures and qualifications.Maintain clean and organized work areas.Work flexible hours, including overnight or 3rd shift as needed.Qualifications & Experience:Experience in a manufacturing environment.Strong ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and mechanical equipment.Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting.Proficiency with HMIs, VFDs, operator interfaces, and power distribution systems.Familiarity with predictive maintenance technologies, including vibration analysis.Experience in a corrugated box plant or paper industry preferred.Ability to read and understand technical documentation and schematics.Experience using maintenance management software systems.Certifications (Preferred):PLC programming certificationOSHA 10 or OSHA 30NFPA 70E Electrical Safety TrainingKey Attributes:Strong understanding of equipment design, functionality, and performance optimizationKnowledge of production processes and product specificationsCommitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvementAbility to plan, prioritize, and execute maintenance tasks effectivelyWork Environment:Regularly stand, walk, talk, or hear.Frequently use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.Utilize specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.Work on small or tight spaces.Work in high temperature environment.Here's why you'll love working at Hood Container:Competitive pay & benefits: We offer a base salary based on experience, a quarterly bonus program, and a comprehensive benefits package to keep you healthy and happy.Continuous learning: We invest in paid training and development to help you grow your skills and advance your career.Caring & Empowering Company Culture: Supportive & collaborative team dedicated to seeing you unbox your potential to help make a difference & make customers happy.Growing Company in a Sustainable Industry: Consider a Future in Corrugated PackagingOur goal is to have a diverse workforce that is representative, at all job levels, of the citizens and customers we serve.
