Location Carrollton, VA Shift First (Days) Overview The Medical Assistant performs patient care and administrative/clerical tasks and procedures based on training, education, competency evaluations, and under the direction of the Physician, NP/PA, RN, or LPN. The role includes ensuring a safe environment for patients, visitors, and employees, and assists with developing realistic action plans and evaluating outcomes. Responsibilities Provide patient care tasks and procedures. Perform administrative duties as appropriate. Identify, address, and incorporate safety principles. Assess specific situations from multiple viewpoints and assist in developing action plans. Follow department and system policies, procedures, and practices. Maintain productivity and efficiency in daily operations. Utilize resources that are safe, effective, ethical, and fiscally responsible. Qualifications High school diploma required. Certification: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or EMT-Basic. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire. Experience None required. Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision plans.
