Senior Software Quality Automation Engineer II

PurposeThis position supports an IT organization with enterprise-wide responsibilities for the development, implementation and support of complex systems that conform to Floor & Decor’s systems standards and methodology. In addition, the individual in this role will be engaged in the creation and execution of quality assurance frameworks, tools and practices to optimize product deployments and customer satisfaction. Minimum Eligibility RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science (relevant experience can be substituted for the required education based on one calendar year of experience for one academic year of education)Minimum four to seven years of software quality assurance experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company3+ years software quality assurance automation experienceAbility to work on multiple projects at one time as they are in various stages of development and testingAble to create and maintain automated test scripts with limited supervision while meeting standardsAbility to assess the architecture of application landscape and drive the planning, coordination and details for an automation strategy Proven business, infrastructure and support problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills (verbal and written)Must be detail-oriented, highly organized and results drivenAbility to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environmentPOSITION PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExpert in writing test plans, test cases and providing status reports and summaries across multiple projectsExperience with multiple programming languages and software development technologies such as Java, Python, SQLProficiency with QA automation tools such as Selenium, Robot Framework, Playwright, JMeter, JenkinsExperience with Agile methodologies and participation in daily scrum and sprint planning meetingsProficiency in performing cross OS/browser testing Proficiency with API testing tools such as SOAPUI, Postman and automation of APIs using PlaywrightExperience with load testing tools and suites such as JMeterProficiency with MYSQL and Postgres Proficiency creating and maintaining automated testing artifactsConsistency exhibits a thorough understanding of customer requirements and offer suggestions to improve user experienceAbility to quickly grasp and learn new tools and technologies as needed to complete job tasksEssential FunctionsAssist in the development and management of automation frameworks like Robot Framework and PlaywrightMentor other software quality team members on tools, processes and QA methodologiesDrive the planning, coordination and details of multiple projects for the QA groupInvestigate and recommend automated test approaches for testing new and updated productsAbility to communicate clearly and present complex information to users by translating technical information for non-technical stakeholdersEnsure QA standards are maintained by all QA team member by performing code reviews of automated test scriptsExperience with AI tools and building skill sets on QA activities for both Automation and Manual testing.Demonstrate competence with testing tools, processes and standards and apply them effectively to projects.
