About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Architect to serve as the principal architectural authority across its unified Digital & Technology (D&T) organization. This senior individual-contributor role is pivotal in maintaining the technical integrity of the company's multi-brand technology estate, with a focus on platform harmonization, enterprise AI adoption, and integration. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and upholding architectural principles, leading the enterprise technical roadmap, and driving the architectural integration of new acquisitions. Key responsibilities include establishing enterprise architecture standards, serving as the architectural arbiter for cross-cutting decisions, and providing hands-on architectural leadership on strategic initiatives. The role also involves driving the shift to an AI-assisted, agentic development model and building a skilled internal team. Applicants for the Chief Architect position at the company should have a minimum of 15 years' of progressive technology experience, with a background that includes roles such as Chief/Principal Architect, VP of Engineering, or CTO within a large-scale retail or e-commerce enterprise. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in platform consolidation, brand harmonization, and simplification at scale, as well as deep expertise in cloud, integration, and headless/composable architecture. Strong financial fluency, experience with AI-assisted SDLC practices, and a Bachelor's degree in a technical field are required, with a technical Master's degree being preferred. The role demands a practitioner architect with a hands-on approach, and experience in specialty retail or jewelry, as well as with specific technologies such as SAP Commerce Cloud and real-time CDP, is a plus.
