Position Title: Staff Writer, Lifestyle

Reports To: Senior Brand Manager, Lifestyle

Dotted Line To: Senior Editor

Direct Reports: N/A

We’re seeking talented content producers to create unique, engaging articles for our lifestyle brands, including DatingAdvice.com and DatingNews.com. Once onboarded, Staff Writers should expect to produce four to five quality submissions, including feature articles, how-to guides, research posts, and other web copy, per week. Position Requirements:

Staff Writer applicants may bring less than five years of editorial and/or marketing experience along with:

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Impeccable grammar; an eye for consistent editorial style, factual accuracy, and voice
• The ability to quickly understand business goals and create copy to help achieve them
• The ability to create and edit content for clarity, syntax, and semantics
• A basic understanding of SEO and web content best practices (strongly preferred)
• Experience with content management systems such as WordPress or Drupal (preferred)

Ideal candidates will be self-starters who can work independently or in a team atmosphere and who are excited by the opportunity to work in a fast-paced startup environment.

Base Compensation & Benefits:

This is a full-time, salaried (exempt) position.

• Starting Annual Salary: $30,000 - 45,000, depending on experience and writing samples provided

• Paid Time Off: 2 weeks per year (10 personal days + 4 sick days)
