Substitute Food Service Worker

Substitutes work on an on-call, as-needed basis with no guarantee of hours. Shifts fall between 7:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Substitutes work between 2.5 and 6.5 hours per day.

Prepare and serve nutritious and attractive meals. Assist with meal production as directed. Maintain and apply all safety, sanitation and cleanliness standards and practices in all food service areas as required by federal, state, local and district regulations and policies. Operate production equipment and dishwashing equipment. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without accommodations. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently, along with effective communication skills. Enjoys working with students and staff in a team environment. Problem-solving and critical thinking. Work in a fast-paced environment. Meet strict deadlines. Handle multiple tasks on time. Flexible in many different situations.
