Manufacturing Engineer – Paint

Major established and brand name international company has an opportunity due to a promotion at their large manufacturing site commutable to the south of the Atlanta. There is a good working culture and relocation assistance is available. In addition, there is 5% bonus potential as well as 2% profit sharing. The work schedule is 6:30am to 3:30pm.

Duties

Responsibilities include daily shop floor support, continuous improvements, equipment/tooling implementation, and continued process development. Troubleshoot process/quality issues and implement corrective actions effectively. New model launch activities. Design and develop systems and material for paint systems. Develop and maintain operation standards and technical instructions. Develop, maintain, and control all tooling prints for carts and racks. Design tooling for the process. Work closely with vendors as needed to meet project schedules. Work with the Product Design Group to insure new vehicle designs are manufacturing friendly for paint. Facilitate process improvement activities with production and maintenance personnel.

Education /Experience

Bachelor's degree in engineering required or equivalent experience. Minimum 5 years of paint engineering experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Other required skills: new equipment installation, computer proficiency, MS Office, ACAD and excellent communication skills needed.
