Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 12-Hour Shifts | Weekend, Holiday, and On-Call Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care in an OR/ASU setting, applying thorough knowledge of nursing principles to assess and address clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual patient needs
• Recognize safety issues and assess and implement appropriate use of lifts and other measures to safely move patients
• Utilize clinical equipment and instrumentation to maintain a safe and aseptic environment within the OR/ASU setting
• Demonstrate lethal dysrhythmia interpretation skills in support of patient monitoring and safety
• Function effectively in high-stress situations using strong problem-solving and prioritization skills; may be required to assume charge nurse duties
• Respond to on-call assignments within a 30-minute response time

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Current New York State RN License
• BLS Certification required
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to function well in stressful situations with strong creative problem-solving skills
• Must live at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS Certification preferred
• Preceptorship, charge, and leadership experience preferred for experienced RNs
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate effectively
