Courier/Swing Drvr/DOT-2

Operates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick up of packages; checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service; provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area; performs related customer service functions and other duties as assigned. Tuesday through Saturday AM Shift (1st Shift hours). Hours will vary but average from 7:30 to 17:00. Minimum Education High school diploma or GED. Minimum Experience Six (6) months of courier experience preferred. Must be able to demonstrate area knowledge. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance. Good human relations and verbal communication skills. Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred. Demonstrated adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods. Must be at least 21 years of age. Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to official inquiries in accordance with FMCSA guidance. Job Conditions Neat appearance required due to customer contact. Must meet and maintain qualifications outlined in federal motor carrier safety regulations. Requires a medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations. Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license in accordance with state requirements for the type of vehicle assigned and have a good driving record as outlined in policy. Non-covered safety‑sensitive position. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Preferred Qualifications None specified. Pay Transparency Pay: $24.81–$33.84.
