We are currently seeking a  Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) Full-time Float for our specialty care locations in Newton. Qualified candidates for this job opportunity will have current RMA/CMA/LPN/RN licensure and will be responsible for providing essential nursing services in a busy practice while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Your duties will include:

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain and document patient vital signs and assist with patient intake and triage.
• Assist providers with procedures and collect/prepare lab specimens.
• Update patient medical records and prepare charts for clinic visits.
• Coordinate insurance authorizations and assist with scheduling procedures.
• Provide patient education and support to ensure understanding of care plans.
• Maintain professional communication with patients, providers, and clinic staff.
• QualificationsEducation

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • RMA/LPN/RN active licensure required

  • Medical terminology coursework preferred

  • Additional healthcare certifications appreciated

  Experience

  • 1–2 years of insurance experience preferred

  • Clinical experience with knowledge of insurance coverage processes preferred

  Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent organizational skills and strong customer service abilities

  • Strong computer skills including word processing, data entry, and multi-line phone systems

  • Knowledge of medical terminology

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while adapting to changing priorities and deadlines

  • Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal communication skills and professional phone etiquette

  • Knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and medical terminology usage

  • Ability to work independently and follow written protocols

  • Applies common sense and logic in performing job duties and responding to customer needs

  • Reliable attendance and punctuality

  Licensure, Registration, or Certification

  • RMA/LPN/RN active licensure required
