Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing physical therapy services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This full-time position (35 hours weekly) is based near Owego, NY, and offers the chance to work within a supportive educational environment as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Valid Physical Therapist license in New York State
- Prior experience delivering physical therapy in a school or pediatric setting strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEP processes and educational documentation
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to effectively support students across a variety of grade levels (K-12)
- Comfortable collaborating with teachers, staff, and families to maximize student progress
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group physical therapy sessions to students in accordance with IEPs
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and support team decision-making
- Serve consultatively as an accessible resource for educational staff and families
- Maintain accurate student records in compliance with school and regulatory requirements
- Provide adaptive equipment recommendations and training for staff and students when necessary
