Pipe Fitter / Welder
Pay Rate: $24-28
Shift: 1st with OT available
Responsibilities
- Install, modify, and repair copper piping systems, including copper risers, using ProPress and related fitting methods.
- Read, interpret, and work from construction blueprints and mechanical drawings to plan and execute piping layouts and installations.
- Perform plumbing and fitting installations, including cast iron, copper, and other piping materials, using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Use ProPress tools, hand tools, and threading equipment to assemble and secure piping systems safely and efficiently.
- Conduct soldering and brazing work on piping systems as required for industrial and commercial applications.
- Inspect existing piping and plumbing systems during renovations, identify issues, and implement effective repair or replacement solutions.
- Ensure all installations comply with relevant codes, standards, and project requirements for mechanical and plumbing systems.
- Promote and enforce safe work practices on site, including proper use of tools and equipment and adherence to safety guidelines.
- Train and mentor less experienced team members in proper installation techniques, blueprint reading, and safe work procedures.
- Document work completed, communicate progress to project leadership, and assist in planning upcoming phases of installation.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greensboro, NC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
