Benefits Growth opportunities with frequent & regular pay increases as you grow your skills Set weekly schedule - always know when you’re working Thorough, paid training with lifeguard certification included Great pay ($18-$20 per hour) Valuable work experience Social opportunities Future references/referrals Free swim lessons for children & siblings Weekday lessons end at 8:00pm (no late nights), no Saturday/Sunday nights Requirements Ability to work with children Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to complete lifeguard, CPR & AED certification class as part of training and work scheduled shifts as a lifeguard Ability to perform job functions in a warm, humid setting and chlorinated pool (lifting, standing for extended periods of time, demonstrating curriculum skills and performing in-water rescues if necessary). Noise level is usually moderate Summary You will instruct students on water safety and proper swim techniques based on thorough knowledge of the Goldfish Swim School curriculum. After each 30 minute lesson, you communicate progress (and celebrate the accomplishments!) with parents and caregivers. Duties and Responsibilities Provide swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum Educate students on safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents Evaluate students’ progress, and complete required paperwork in a timely manner Interact with parents/guardians on the activities and development of students’ swim skills Use problem-solving and creative thinking skills to identify and resolve challenges that students encounter Maintain and ensure proper storage of all pool equipment.
