This position is responsible for collecting, reviewing, and organizing borrower documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness for all loan files. The specialist will coordinate with loan officers, underwriters, and other team members to move applications through the processing pipeline, resolve discrepancies, and meet required deadlines. Daily tasks include verifying income, assets, and credit information, updating loan systems, preparing files for underwriting, and maintaining clear communication with clients and internal stakeholders. The role also involves adherence to company policies and regulatory guidelines, while supporting a high level of customer service throughout the loan process. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in loan processing and an understanding of the end-to-end loans lifecycle. Candidates should possess the ability to manage and review loan documents with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Candidates should possess effective communication skills for interacting with clients, loan officers, underwriters, and support staff. Candidates should possess basic knowledge of underwriting principles and the ability to prepare files that meet underwriting requirements. Additional beneficial qualifications include prior mortgage or financial services experience, familiarity with loan origination systems, strong organizational and time-management skills, and proficiency with standard office software. Relevant education such as an associate or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience, is preferred. Must Haves Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Mortgage Processor . Must be able to work onsite full-time ; this is not a remote or hybrid position . Required experience in residential mortgage processing ; other types of loan processing will not be considered as a substitute. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
