Position SummaryWSP is seeking a strategic, collaborative, entrepreneurial and client-focused professional to serve as Local Office Leader, Southern Wisconsin with a focus on municipal, county and state clients supporting the operational performance, growth, and leadership of our Wisconsin Transportation Practice. This role is designed to strengthen our leadership capacity in Wisconsin and ensure continuity in delivering excellence across our four strategic pillars: People & Culture, Clients, Operational Excellence, and Expertise.The Local Office Leader will work closely with District Leadership to drive initiatives, mentor staff, and manage key client relationships and project portfolios. This role is ideal for a high-performing candidate ready to take on broader responsibilities and contribute to the long-term success of our Wisconsin offices and technical practice.As the Local Office Leader, Southern Wisconsin, you will shape the growth of your team, identify talent, and expand WSP’s presence in the Milwaukee and Madison area.Key Responsibilities People & CultureFoster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that attracts and retains top talent.Champion employee engagement, development, and recognition programs.Mentor staff and support professional growth across the Wisconsin team.Assist in recruiting and retention efforts driving toward WSP as the employer of choice.Promote a culture of safety, ethics, and sustainability aligned with WSP values.ClientsManage client relationships and cross-selling opportunities across WSP’s business lines.Represent WSP in civic and industry forums to enhance visibility and influence.Support strategic growth initiatives to expand market share and client base in Wisconsin. Provide support for key regional pursuits, contribute to regional strategic initiatives and client engagement.ExpertiseDevelop strategic plan and contribute to the strategic direction of the Wisconsin practice.Contribute to the delivery of technical work including integrated multi-modal systems, complete streets and safety related projects.Support regional and national business line safety initiatives as a subject matter expert and thought leaderPromote technical excellence and innovation in service delivery. Encourage staff development, independent thinking and innovation. Operational ExcellenceHelp execute local growth and business development strategies.Monitor project performance and ensure delivery excellence.Support financial and operational metrics including net revenue, EBITDA, DLM, DSO and cash collections and staff utilization.Lead and manage key pursuits - identify champions, technical staff and partnerships to align teams to secure new work.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in engineering, planning, or related field (Advanced degree preferred).Minimum 7 years of experience in the A/E/C industry, with a focus on transportation.Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities.Strong communication and relationship-building skills.Strategic thinker with business acumen and client service orientation.Familiarity and relationships with Wisconsin DOT, municipal and county agencies, and local business partners.About WSPWSP USA is the U.S. operating company of WSP, one of the world's leading engineering and professional services firms.
