Assembly Worker

Assembly WorkerRichland, MSPosition Summary The Assembly Worker is responsible for assembling sheet metal components and finished products according to assembly instructions, blueprints, specifications, and quality requirements. This position supports daily production by preparing parts and materials, assembling components, checking completed work, documenting production and quality information, and maintaining a clean and safe work area. The ideal candidate is dependable, mechanically inclined, comfortable using hand tools and measuring equipment, and able to work as part of a production team.Key Responsibilities • Prepare work by reviewing assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists and gathering required parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials. • Position parts and subassemblies using templates, drawings, and measurements. • Assemble components and subassemblies and check connections for correct fit. • Verify completed components against specifications using appropriate measuring tools. • Identify assembly problems and notify the Production Supervisor when additional resources or direction are needed. • Keep equipment operational by following preventive maintenance requirements and reporting malfunctions or repair needs. • Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow company procedures, rules, and safety requirements. • Monitor supplies and report material or supply needs. • Use equipment, tools, materials, and supplies responsibly. • Complete required production and quality forms. • Support team production goals and assist with related production tasks as needed.Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent. • Mechanical knowledge or mechanical aptitude. • Experience in manufacturing or the sheet metal industry preferred. • Experience using hand tools and basic production equipment. • Ability to read and use a tape measure and caliper. • Basic math and computer skills, including Microsoft Office. • Forklift certification preferred or willingness to become certified. • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. • Ability to work independently and follow instructions.Physical Requirements • Stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive assembly tasks throughout the workday. • Lift and move materials and finished components as required for production. • Use hand tools, measuring tools, and production equipment safely. • Work in a manufacturing environment around machinery, material handling equipment, and production activity.Benefits Don't miss this chance to enhance your experience in a production environment while enjoying competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.Weekly pay$5 prescription drugs$5 doctor's visit copaysFree teledoctor serviceFree counseling servicesLife insurance includedVision insurance includedDental insurance includedVacation and holiday payScholarship Opportunities401(k) retirement planFree legal servicesOur unbeatable employee discount programApply now so we can hold a spot for you.
