Registered Nurse - Cardiac Stepdown

Where You Will Work: 5W Cardiac Stepdownis a dynamic 34-bed unit located within Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center, specializing in the care of patients with complex cardiac conditions. As part of our progressive care environment, 5W provides high-acuity nursing support for individuals recovering from myocardial infarctions, heart failure exacerbations, arrhythmias, and post-cardiac procedures including catheterizations and device placements. This position is Sign-on Bonus eligible. Our team is committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care while fostering a culture of clinical excellence and teamwork. Nurses on 5W are trained in advanced cardiac monitoring and collaborate closely with cardiologists, interventionalists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Requirements • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing • Current valid Georgia nursing license • BLS/ACLS certification from the American Heart Assocation • Cardiac/ critical care experience preferred We’re Looking For: Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association What You’ll Do: As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
