Surgical Technologist General Vascular

The Surgical Technologist (Surg Tech) role requires a highly skilled and experienced professional with extensive knowledge in Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Vascular, and other surgical specialties. The Surg Tech will assist in surgical procedures by preparing the operating room, managing instruments, and supporting the surgical team. This role demands excellent critical thinking, knowledge of central processing and instrumentation, and the ability to respond promptly during call shifts. Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures including Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, and Vascular cases.
• Manage surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring sterility and proper function.
• Assist surgeons and surgical staff during operations by passing instruments and supplies.
• Maintain knowledge of central processing and instrumentation techniques.
• Participate in call rotations with a 30-minute response time to arrive onsite.
• Adhere to safety and infection control protocols throughout all procedures.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and effective patient care.

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of 3 years of surgical technology experience with a wide range of specialties including Ortho, Neuro, and Vascular.
• Excellent critical thinking skills.
• Strong knowledge of central processing and instrumentation.

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential preferred but not required.

• Call schedule includes approximately every 5th weekend with split Call 1 and Call 2 responsibilities.
• 1-2 call shifts per week with a required 30-minute onsite response time.
• Possible holiday call rotation depending on patient census and staffing needs.
• Minimal Return to Office (RTO) requirements prioritized.

• Work 36-40 hours per week with flexible shift options: three 12-hour shifts, four 10-hour shifts, or five 8-hour shifts.
• Start and end times are negotiable based on agreement during the interview process.
• Guaranteed weekly hours adjusted according to agreed schedule.
