Simpson House, a not-for-profit senior care organization, is seeking an experienced Care Associate to work the overnight shift and support residents with daily living activities. Schedule and Benefits Work four (4) 8‑hour shifts: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday Program runs Friday through Monday; some schedules may include overnight shifts beginning Thursday at 11:00pm Earn a 5th Bonus Day of pay for working all scheduled shifts (equivalent to 40hours pay for 32hours worked) Eligible for full‑time benefits Opportunity to pick up additional hours, based on staffing needs Essential Duties Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting Support resident mobility and transfers using assistive devices such as walkers and wheelchairs Provide medication reminders and assist with medication administration in accordance with training and policy Assist with meal preparation, setup, and feeding as needed Perform light housekeeping duties, including bed‑making, laundry, room tidiness, and minor/emergent cleaning Provide companionship and emotional support to residents Monitor residents’ health and report changes or concerns to appropriate staff Assist with recreational activities and resident engagement Accurately document care provided and observations in resident records Follow all facility policies and procedures to ensure resident safety and well‑being Additional Requirements Ability to work assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed Must work all scheduled weekend shifts to maintain program eligibility and receive bonus pay Reliable attendance and punctuality are required Must complete Medication Administration Certification within the first 4 weeks of employment Complete required annual training in accordance with regulatory standards Qualifications Education or Degree Required: HS Diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED); if attended secondary school outside the U.S., diploma must be translated to English Complete Direct Care Worker Training from Temple University Online before orientation Complete Dementia Care Training within 30 days of hire Licenses, Certifications, Registrations CPR Certified First Aid Certified AED Certified (preferred) Medication Administration Certified (preferred) Related Skills and Experience 1year experience providing direct care to seniors or disabled people Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures to communicate with other healthcare providers when necessary Benefits Compensation based on experience with shift differentials Health Plan (BCBS) Dental Plans Vision 403(b) Retirement Plan with matching Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) Plan Company‑Paid Life Insurance Company‑Paid AD&D Company‑Paid Long‑Term Disability Tuition Reimbursement Health Savings Account Flexible Spending Account Short‑Term Disability Pet InsuranceCritical Illness Accident Insurance Hospital Indemnity Company‑Paid Holidays Employee Assistance Program Simpson is proud to be an EOE employer M/F/D/V.
