Regional Sales Representative

POSITION OVERVIEW AML is seeking a high-performance Regional Sales Representative in Indianapolis, Indiana to drive growth across our metalworking fluids and forging lubricants portfolio. This is a unique opportunity to join a scaling platform with proven products, trusted customer relationships, and the infrastructure to rapidly grow. This position is responsible for driving sales of our advanced metalworking fluids and forging lubricants within a defined geographic territory. The successful candidate will focus on expanding market share by identifying and developing new business opportunities, nurturing existing customer relationships, and delivering value-added solutions to clients in the forging and metalworking industries. This role will serve as a key link between the customer and internal technical, service, and product development teams. KEY RESPONSIBILIES: Drive territory growt h. Promote and grow sales in the region by cross-selling into existing accounts and securing new business across metalworking and forging sectors. Sell across two major fluids categorie s. Promote AML’s metalworking fluids (coolants, cutting oils, rust preventatives, cleaners) and forging lubricants. Engage the plant floo r. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key accounts, decision‑makers, and industry influencers. Plan and forecast strategicall y. Prepare territory plans, prioritize target accounts, and generate sales forecasts aligned with company goals. Expand your networ k. Identify prospective clients through research, networking, industry events, and referrals. Stay active and visibl e. Conduct regular customer visits and on-site job site support to understand client operations and identify opportunities for lubricant application improvements. Provide technical consultation and demonstrations to assist clients in selecting appropriate products based on process requirements, Collaborate cross-functionall y. Collaborate with internal teams including R&D, production, and customer service to ensure exceptional service delivery. Track customer needs and feedback to communicate market trends to support continuous product improvement. Execute a true sales proces s. Use CRM to maintain pipeline discipline, track activity, report accurately, and stay aligned with weekly/monthly goals. Create detailed proposals and negotiate contracts to close sales. Keep a pulse on the marke t. Monitor competitor activities and market conditions within the metalworking and forging sectors. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree required; preferred fields include Business, Communications, Engineering, or related technical disciplines. Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial sales, preferably within the metalworking, forging, die casting, or lubricant industries. Located in Indianapolis,Indiana, ideally within reasonable access to the Indianopolis area. Strong knowledge of industrial manufacturing environments, preferably metalworking and/or forging applications. Demonstrated ability to manage a sales territory, meet/exceed revenue targets, and build strategic customer relationships. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. High degree of self-motivation – process-oriented and self-managed. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software. Willingness to travel extensively throughout the assigned region (up to 60%).
