Work Hours Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 7:45 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. with travel, evening and weekend hours as necessary. Job Purpose The Medical Assistant at INTERCARE COMMUNITY HEALTH NETWORK's School Based Clinic will provide essential healthcare support to ensure the well-being of students. This role involves assisting healthcare providers in delivering high-quality care, promoting health education, and supporting the smooth operation of the clinic within the school environment. Key Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a comfortable and efficient experience for students. Record patient information accurately, including medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant data. Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean, well-stocked, and organized. Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by healthcare providers, adhering to established protocols and safety guidelines. Provide basic health education and counseling to students, promoting healthy lifestyle choices and preventive care. Coordinate with school staff and parents to facilitate communication and ensure comprehensive care for students. Manage appointment scheduling, patient follow-ups, and other administrative tasks to support clinic operations. Maintain confidentiality and comply with all healthcare regulations and privacy laws. Participate in community outreach and health promotion activities organized by the clinic.
