About the Position

Job Title: MRI Technician
Location: Farmington, CT
Shift: Day Shift – 40 hours/week

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused MRI Technician to join our imaging team in Farmington, CT . In this role, you will operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the procedure. You'll collaborate closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to deliver accurate and timely imaging services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate MRI scanners to obtain diagnostic images as ordered by physicians

• Position patients correctly and ensure comfort and safety during exams

• Screen patients for MRI contraindications and review medical history

• Maintain accurate patient records and input data into the EMR system

• Follow safety guidelines related to magnetic fields and contrast agents

• Maintain equipment and report any malfunctions or concerns

• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals for optimal patient care

• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and departmental protocols

Requirements

Requirements:

• ARRT (MR) certification or registry-eligible with commitment to obtain

• State of Connecticut license (if required)

• 1-2 years of MRI experience (Preferred, but new grads are encouraged to apply)

• BLS certification (Required)

• Strong knowledge of MRI safety and imaging protocols

• Excellent communication, patient care, and teamwork skills

• Experience with EMR and PACS systems
