The College of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematology-Oncology is recruiting a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. This position will be under general supervision from a designated administrator and assist in providing comprehensive, continuous, and personalized care to patients in the area of hematology and oncology. Conduct comprehensive or episodic health history and physical assessment of patients. Maintain accurate medical records. Collaborate with other providers and members of the health care team in delivery of care and make appropriate referrals when needed. Educate patients and families about medical conditions and treatment plans. Participate in research and development projects. Participate in education of nurse practitioners, nurse practitioner students and medical students. Nurse Practitioner Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program. Active Ohio APRN license with prescriptive authority. Active Board Certification in appropriate nursing specialty. Three (3) years nursing experience. - Physician Assistant Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program. Active Ohio Physician Assistant license with prescriptive authority. Certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. 2-3 years of experience working and treating patients with Hematology-Oncology related health issues.
