Job Description
Water Technologies Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Machine Operator (Fabricator) for a 1 year assignment in Norfolk, VA, with potential for extension. The Machine Operator will assist in the production and fabrication of specialized water treatment equipment and systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate industrial equipment, including forklifts, scissor lifts, drill presses, belt sanders, band saws, bench grinders, and ironworkers.
- Fabricate and assemble components for specialized water treatment systems.
- Pipe-fit various materials, such as PVC, CPVC, fiberglass, and stainless steel.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform confined space entry in small tanks (1418 manways) as needed.
- Travel for field repairs and installation as required.
- Maintain required records and reports.
Requirements:
- Previous experience with industrial machinery and fabrication equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to safely perform physical tasks and operate tools.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety.
- Comfortable with confined space entry and possible travel.
Additional Information:
- Assignment is one year in length and may be extended based on project needs.
- Overtime is paid according to local regulations.
- No travel expenses reimbursed.
