PCB Designer

BPX Logistics is hiring a PCB Designer to support hardware-related initiatives that improve operational visibility, scanning, sensing, and connected-device reliability across logistics workflows. You will design and document printed circuit boards for embedded systems and supporting electronics used in internal tools and operational technology initiatives. This role is available as full-time or part-time and is fully remote, with expected overlap during U.S. business hours for engineering and vendor coordination.

**Responsibilities:**

* Design schematics and PCB layouts for prototype and production-ready hardware projects
* Collaborate with cross-functional partners to define electrical, mechanical, and operational requirements
* Optimize board designs for reliability, manufacturability, cost, and maintainability
* Prepare and maintain fabrication outputs, BOMs, assembly files, and revision-controlled design documentation
* Support prototype bring-up, lab validation, issue triage, and root-cause analysis for hardware defects
* Manage component libraries, footprint accuracy, and design standards across active projects
* Coordinate with external vendors and manufacturing partners during quoting, prototyping, and production handoff
* Contribute to engineering best practices for hardware documentation, review cycles, and release readiness

**Requirements:**

* 4+ years of professional experience in PCB design, board layout, and electronics documentation
* Proficiency with PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, KiCad, or similar
* Strong experience with schematic capture, multilayer board layout, and design rule management
* Working knowledge of signal integrity, power distribution, EMI / EMC, and design for manufacturability
* Experience preparing fabrication packages, Gerbers, BOMs, assembly drawings, and revision-controlled documentation
* Hands-on experience supporting prototype bring-up, debugging, and design validation
* Familiarity with common embedded interfaces such as I2C, SPI, UART, USB, and Ethernet
* Experience collaborating with firmware, mechanical, manufacturing, or test stakeholders
* Strong written communication and ability to work effectively in a remote environment
* Authorized to work in the United States

**Benefits & Compensation:**

* Salary range: $90,000–$120,000 annually (full-time); part-time compensation prorated to hours
