About the Position

Job Title: RN CVOR Profession: RN Specialty: CVOR Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Weekdays Hours per Shift: 10:30 AM - 09:00 PM Experience: Minimum of 5 years License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Minimum of 5 years of recent full-time experience as a CVOR CST in a high-volume hospital setting. - Demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures. - Ability to function independently in a fast-paced surgical environment. - Verifiable references from at least two prior travel assignments confirming no training was needed. - Participation in call coverage for the service line after normal business hours and weekends. Description: Candidates applying for this position must have extensive experience in a high-volume surgical setting. They should be proficient in routine and complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures. The role requires the ability to hit the ground running without extensive onboarding. Candidates will be part of a service line that provides surgical interventions for various procedures, including coronary artery bypass, valve repair/replacement, and heart transplantation. The service line also covers thoracic cases with both laparoscopic and open procedures. Vascular procedures range from placement and revision of grafts to endovascular procedures. The operating room is equipped for four concurrent procedures requiring cardiopulmonary bypass. Candidates should be prepared to work flexible hours based on department needs.
