Our organization is seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic Engineering team. This is a permanent position, offering an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge machinery and technology in the engineering industry. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of various machinery, including medical devices. You will also have the opportunity to work with conveyor systems, motors, pneumatics, and hydraulics. This role requires a high degree of technical expertise and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities:
As a Maintenance Technician, your duties will include:

1. Performing routine and preventative maintenance on a variety of machines and equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
2. Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults in machinery, including motors, conveyors, and medical devices.
3. Troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
4. Collaborating with the engineering team to develop and implement maintenance strategies.
5. Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
6. Documenting all maintenance and repair work for record-keeping and future reference.
7. Assisting in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
8. Providing technical expertise and guidance to junior staff members.

Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, you must have:

1. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within the engineering industry.
2. Proven experience in machine maintenance, mechanical maintenance, and electrical troubleshooting.
3. Expertise in working with conveyor systems, motors, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
4. Experience in maintaining and repairing machinery, including medical devices.
5. A strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex machinery issues.
7. Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical colleagues.
8. A relevant trade qualification or engineering degree would be advantageous.
