Responsibilities include: Inspect Transportation Construction Projects: Ensure all work and materials meet project plans, proposals, and specifications Perform Key Measurements & Calculations: Verify weights, volumes, and measurements to ensure accuracy Prepare "As-Built" Documentation: Plot and run cross sections, and document project progress Conduct Materials Testing: Ensure materials meet quality standards throughout the project lifecycle Daily Documentation: Record all inspection activities and findings in detailed reports Work Outdoors: Enjoy the variety of working in different weather conditions and environments Physical Responsibilities: Be prepared for heavy lifting and manual tasks as part of the inspection process Travel Across the State: Visit construction sites across the state, ensuring every project is up to code Independent Work: Take ownership of your tasks and work with minimal supervision Flexible Hours & Travel: Expect extended hours and occasional overnight stays as part of the role A valid driver's license is required. The successful candidate will hold at least two applicable certifications, and one of the following: A Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related field OR An Associate's Degree in Construction Management or related field AND two (2) years of relevant experience OR If no degree, at least four (4) years of relevant experience The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following: FDOT Certifications Erosion control Why Mead & Hunt?
