Sales Account Executive – Muscle Shoals, AL Our Lamar office in Muscle Shoals, Alabama is now hiring a Sales Account Executive (salary + commission) to bring innovative outdoor advertising campaigns to life for local brands. The ideal candidate understands the connection between marketing and sales and is genuinely excited by every sale—big or small. Responsibilities Meet and exceed sales targets and monitor personal sales data and reports. Target businesses in the assigned area and visit established Lamar clients as well as competitor’s clients within a specified time frame. Exhibit knowledge of local and national competition and cluster accounts for efficient service. Identify potential growth areas and open new accounts. Use Lamar computer tools to locate prospects, follow up on leads, and prepare proposals and research. Develop and refine presentation skills, presenting to clients regularly. Participate in sales meetings, regional meetings, seminars, and trade shows. Perform administrative duties: maintain daily/weekly/monthly sales plans, track production orders, solve client issues, keep organized records. Work a minimum of two days a week in the office for meetings and events. Qualifications Comfortable making cold calls and in-person visits. Ability to give oral presentations and clearly explain policies and procedures. Effective communication with diverse populations, aligning with our inclusivity values. Motivation to learn new technology and systems. Strong time‑management and self‑organization skills. Willingness to immerse yourself in outdoor advertising and sell its benefits to businesses. Professional verbal and written communication. Ability to perform under fluctuating workloads. Ability to build connections and gain trust. Meeting sales quota using general sales techniques. Intrinsic self‑motivation to overcome challenges and meet goals. Resilience in response to rejection. Current and valid driver’s license required. College degree preferred. Experience in outdoor advertising sales preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. CRM experience preferred. First‑year earning potential of $50,000 - $60,000 (including commissions) dependent on experience and selling ability.
