Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Job Summary Responsible for performing patient scans under the supervision of a nuclear medicine physician. Duties include calculating radioisotope dosages for administration to patients, operating radioscopic equipment, and practicing strict radiation safety. $10,000 hiring bonus for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment. Required Qualifications Coursework/Training – Completion of an AMA approved radiologic technologist training program. California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification upon hire. National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist – Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board upon hire, OR National Registered Technologist – Nuclear Medicine Technology upon hire. National Provider BLS – American Heart Association upon hire. 6 months – Experience during the last year, or a minimum of 2 years full-time experience with an absence from nuclear medicine of no more than 1 year. Preferred Qualifications 1 year – Experience in nuclear medicine (not required if recent graduate from an approved technician training program). Required Skills and Certifications National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist – Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board. National Registered Technologist – Nuclear Medicine Technology upon hire. California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification upon hire.
