Work Environment

This full-time role is an onsite position located in our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Winchester, Virginia. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life. Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Start Fit Physical Therapy, your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive examinations and evaluations of patients with various functional limitations and disabilities to develop effective personalized treatment plans.
• Staying informed about state practice acts to ensure compliance with legal requirements governing physical therapy practice, including supervision protocols.
• Providing thorough evaluation services through detailed history reviews, specific assessments, and precise documentation of recommendations.
• Implementing evidence-based treatment protocols influenced by evaluation findings and the patient's unique presentation while adapting to the evolving healthcare landscape.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care, recognizing when a patient's condition necessitates adjustments in the treatment plan.
• Executing thoughtful discharge planning and follow-up care, maintaining accurate documentation and coding for patient care activities to portray a clear course of care.
• Completing all required corporate and clinical training while adhering to compliance with state, local, and federal regulations.
• Maximizing departmental productivity while ensuring quality patient care through efficient attendance to daily assigned treatments.
• Participating in regular team meetings, education sessions, and initiatives aimed at improving patient access and care quality.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population ranging from athletes recovering from injuries to elderly patients seeking to enhance their functional abilities. Your expertise will play a vital role in guiding patients through rehabilitation efforts, addressing their individual needs, and setting achievable goals to ensure their holistic recovery.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited physical therapy program.
• A valid state physical therapy license to practice in Virginia.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, with a preference for those having experience with personal training or related fields.
• Current CPR certification.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and build rapport with patients quickly.

Preferred Experience

While 2 years of experience in a clinical setting is required, candidates with coaching, personal training experience, or who are familiar with digital app-based solutions will find themselves well-suited for this position. Experience working collaboratively in a team environment is highly valued.
