Mixing/Batching Team Member: Batchingteam membersare responsible foreffectively working with their team to follow daily work instructions.The Batching Departmentblends prepared andpurchasedraw materials and delivers bulkproductsto thePackagingDepartment.Team members handle food ingredients,follow recipes, document traceability,operatewashing, chopping,pumpingand mixing equipment,whilstfollowing food quality and safety standardsto ensurethe safe andtimelyproduction of healthy food. What You’ll Do: Assistin settingup theIngredientPrep.andBatchingareas Prepare raw materials for processing, including de-casing, inspecting, washing,sizereducingand portioning. Prepare, properlylabel,and stageraw materialsfor downstreamprocesses. Safelyoperateprocess equipmentwith supervisionincluding wash tanks, product conveyors, drum/tote unloaders,size reduction equipment, pumps, buggy dumpers and mixing systems. Assistwithgeneral sanitation activities, including breakdown of variousequipmentfollowing product changeovers and at the end of the production shift. Work as part of a team to ensuretimelyand efficient production. Embrace collective ambition. Prepare and review documentation (written or digital) asrequiredfor food safety, quality, and production tracking activities. Adhere to anddemonstrateto team members all safety guidelines (both personnel and food safety-related) and Good Manufacturing Practices. Abide by policies and procedures that support the service mindset Manage timeline expectations within and across teams, deliver on our responsibilities accordingly Earn the trust of Team Members and Managers by consistently embracing CAVA’s values Show discipline in bringing consistent performance, communication, and attitude to the job every day Actively contribute to your departmentin order tocomplete tasks and meet company goals Recognize the emotional stake each Team Member has in personal and organizational success of this business The Qualifications: Ability to follow instructions Ability to collaborate and be respectful to others Food handlingand/orfood processing experience preferred. Youmust be able to begin work between 5am and 6am Monday Through Thursdayand you must be able to work up to 11 hours per day. We target 4 days and40hours. You mustdemonstrateproper clock management andmaintaina strongattendance. You mustmaintainclose concentration andvisual attention to assigned tasks. You must be willing and able to follow instructions. You must be willing to work in other areas as needed You must be eager to learn and develop new skills. You musthave good verbal communication skills. You must be willing and able to work efficiently and with quickness You must have some familiarity with smart phones, tablets, and email. Physical Requirements: Physical dexterity, ability tolift upto 45lbs.and push/pullrollingcarts, and containers. The ability to work in varied environmental conditions (dry, cold) The ability to stand for8-10hoursa day Must be able toidentify,assessandobservedetail Ability to communicate with others and exchange information accurately and effectively. Ability to squat, kneel, bend and twist Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner Allergens: We prepare products with milk and sesamecontainingingredients.
