Make a direct impact by providing sign language interpretation services for a one-day assignment. This contract position is scheduled for September 14 and will take place in a school setting near Centreville, MI. Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
Previous experience working as a Sign Language Interpreter, preferably in a school environment
Ability to interpret accurately and impartially between students, staff, and faculty
Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills
Relevant certification or licensure in sign language interpretation (as required by state or district)
Reliability and punctuality for the scheduled day
Responsibilities:
Provide clear and effective sign language interpretation during the full day
Facilitate communication between deaf or hard of hearing students and other members of the school community
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards of the profession
Ensure all interpretations are culturally and linguistically appropriate
Work collaboratively with school staff to meet the needs of the assignment
