The shift is 3 days per week, working the night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:5. Every other weekend work is required. On-call duties may be needed, although rarely. Floating to other units may be necessary based on facility needs. Candidates with 2 years of relevant experience will be considered. First-time travelers are accepted. The role requires proficiency in managing various nursing tasks related to telemetric care. Clinical skills include cardiac telemetry, administration of medications, and patient assessment. Knowledge of managing dysrhythmias and using rapid response teams is essential. Interdisciplinary support is available, including teams for various specialized services. Candidates should be prepared for the possibility of emergency response assignments during hurricane season. All requests for time off must be submitted with the application and will be evaluated based on facility needs. Local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis, but priority will be given to non-local applicants. Candidates with a pending South Carolina RN license will also be considered, provided proof of application is submitted. The facility is an acute care hospital with 304 beds and utilizes Epic for charting.
