Peer Support Specialist - Rio Fresco Shelter

Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI) is an integrated behavioral healthcare agency offering a variety of programs throughout Arizona. CBI provides residential, outpatient, inpatient, patient‑centered medical homes, medication‑assisted treatment, and crisis services to individuals experiencing crisis, opioid use disorder, homelessness, and mental illness. Peer Support Specialist Peer Support Specialists (PSS) assigned to PCMH/OTP Community‑Based Services will perform peer support duties, offering one‑on‑one support and day‑to‑day problem‑solving related to normalization and reintegration into the community. They utilize best practices of assertive engagement, harm reduction, and peer support to engage with members and promote a safe, inclusive recovery environment. Skills / Requirements High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of six (6) months’ experience in behavioral health and/or substance abuse field required. Minimum of six months of recovery from substance use and/or mental health disorders required. Current AZ Driver’s License (valid and in good standing). Clear 39‑month motor vehicle record. Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) or ability to obtain a CPSS certification within 90 days (3 months) of hire. Addiction and substance use disorders certification preferred.
