Long Island City · Part time, 24–32 hrs/week · $19–21/hour plus tips

Latest shift ends at 5pm. No nights, no closing at midnight, no bar crowd.

Mimloo is a play café and children's activity space opening on 44th Drive in August — specialty coffee for the parents, soft play and classes for the kids. Two minutes from Court Square (7/E/M/G).

We're hiring baristas for our opening team. You'll be dialing in the espresso program from day one rather than inheriting someone else's, and you'll help decide how the bar runs.

The job

• Pull espresso and build our full drink menu — Partners Coffee on a Marzocco Linea Classic
• Take orders and run the POS
• Look after the bar: cleanliness, calibration, stocking, flagging what we're low on
• Make parents feel genuinely looked after, often while they're holding a toddler

What we're looking for

• Café or barista experience — or real coffee enthusiasm and a fast learning curve
• Patience and warmth. Our guests arrive with kids, strollers, and occasionally a meltdown in progress
• Reliability, which matters more to us than latte art (happy to train that either way)
• Saturday or Sunday availability — those are our busiest days
• NYC Food Protection certificate, or willingness to get one. We'll cover the cost

Shifts: Opening (7am–1pm) or midday (12pm–6pm). Set weekly schedule, not week-to-week guesswork.
