Key Responsibilities As a Director in the Software Strategy Group, you will lead innovative projects, turning client challenges into clear, actionable tasks and deliverables. You’ll drive daily problem‑solving, lead a dynamic team, and act as the bridge between consultants, partners and clients. Skills and Attributes for Success Support clients in developing technology questions to assess investment hypotheses and engagement objectives. Run complex engagements, framing overarching hypotheses and prioritizing workstreams. Act as a knowledge resource in a software economy affinity area and aid in practice‑wide business development efforts. Drive strategic direction of practice‑building activities. Qualifications Outstanding academic performance, with a bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and approximately 3 years of related work experience. Proficiency in English, both written and verbal. Strong organizational and time‑management skills, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Willingness to travel and work beyond standard hours when necessary. Residency within commuting distance of the chosen office location. Ideally, You’ll Also Have Experience in a technology company in a product management or R&D role, or in a consulting firm with technology‑oriented clients. MBA or related graduate degree with at least 3 years of related experience focused on client advisory or strategic planning within a professional services environment. Expertise in one or more software sectors (e.g., ERP, CRM, HCIT, FinTech). Demonstrated ability to lead teams on complex assignments and develop individual team members. Knowledge of how to leverage AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot. What We Offer A comprehensive compensation and benefits package with base salary range $205,000 to $235,000. Additional benefits include medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and paid time off. A hybrid work model with 40-60% in‑person collaboration for client‑serving roles. Flexible vacation policy allowing you to determine your personal time off, along with EY Paid Holidays and other leave options.
