About the Position: Will work in the Greenville WIN Job Center and other centers as assigned for the MS Dept. of Employment Security (MDES). Will interview and screen participants to determine eligibility for employment-related programs. Will perform employer and community outreach to market agency services. Will interview and screen participants to determine eligibility for Wagner-Peyser and Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) related programs. Will screen and refer qualified participants to job orders. Will case manage participants of various Federal and State programs. Will assist participants in the Resource Center with on-line services. May assist with Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act training programs, including the On-the-Job Training program and the Individual Training Account program. Will assist customers in person, by telephone and at the reception desk. Will work with all Federal and State programs within the office. Some travel may be required. May make presentations to small or large groups of customers. Will perform other duties as assigned. Must be available to work in a public center that provides in-person service to customers of various programs. All applicants must have a valid driver's license and pass an extensive background check.
What you'll need to be Successful: Good interpersonal skills and excellent customer service skills. Good verbal/written communication, time management and organizational skills. Must possess outstanding computer skills that include proficiency with internet-based applications and email.

Military Leave In accordance with federal law, all employees serving in the armed forces or the military reserves are entitled to 15 days per year for military training.
