Work Environment\nAs a Remote Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, you will operate within an outpatient setting while conducting telehealth sessions. This flexibility allows you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while providing in-home treatment and therapy sessions that can be delivered in real-time. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary Child Family Treatment Team that collaborates closely, ensuring the highest level of care and support for our clients.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct individual therapy sessions and group therapy sessions, either through telehealth or in-person, to facilitate intensive in-community therapy treatments. \n
- Implement structured interventions to reduce high-risk behaviors in children, including self-injurious behaviors (SIB) and physical aggression, while fostering anger management and coping skills. \n
- Support caregivers in enhancing their decision-making skills to effectively address and manage in-home behavioral concerns. \n
- Collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals to create a comprehensive care plan tailored for each child and family. \n
- Maintain meticulous documentation, including treatment plans and progress notes, ensuring timely submission in accordance with organizational policies. \n
- Participate in regular case meetings and provide actionable recommendations to enhance therapeutic outcomes. \n
This role focuses primarily on children and adolescents aged 3 to 20 who experience developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. You will work closely with diverse populations, including families from various backgrounds, ensuring that therapeutic services are culturally sensitive and effective. The need for bilingual therapists—particularly those fluent in Spanish or Portuguese—is emphasized, allowing us to better serve our bilingual communities.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master’s degree in Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field is required. \n
- An active and unrestricted LMFT license in Massachusetts is mandatory. \n
- Willingness to provide a minimum of 5-10 hours of support per week, especially during after-school hours from 4 PM to 7 PM. \n
- A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for any necessary in-home visits. \n
- Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, to ensure the safety of our vulnerable clients. \n

- Experience providing positive behavior support strategies in therapeutic or educational settings. \n
- Prior experience working with children with developmental and intellectual disabilities is highly valued. \n
- Familiarity with various therapeutic techniques that promote healthy emotional and social development. \n
