Direct Care Worker (DCW)Location: Pottsville, PA (Schuylkill County) Company: Familiar Roads Home HealthcareJob SummaryFamiliar Roads Home Healthcare is looking for dedicated Direct Care Workers (DCWs) to serve clients in Pottsville and the greater Schuylkill County area. This role is ideal for individuals who are compassionate, dependable, and committed to supporting others in their homes with daily care needs and companionship.Qualifications (Required)Applicants must meet the following Pennsylvania state and agency requirements:Completed Competency Exam or PA-compliant training program per Department of Health (DOH) standardsCurrent CPR CertificationRecent TB Test & Physical Exam (within the past 12 months) — QuantiFERON-TB Gold or equivalent acceptedProof of Pennsylvania Residency for the past two (2) yearsTwo (2) Valid Professional ReferencesClear Criminal Background CheckAbility to speak, read, and write English proficientlyNeat appearance and practices good personal hygieneResponsibilitiesAssist with personal hygiene: bathing, dressing, toileting, and groomingMeal preparation and feeding assistancePerform light housekeeping (sweeping, dishes, laundry, etc.)Provide mobility and transfer supportOffer medication reminders (non-clinical)Observe and report changes in client health or behaviorBenefitsFlexible scheduling (day, evening, and weekend shifts)Bi-Weekly payPaid training and onboardingSupportive and responsive office teamSign-on bonus availableServe UPMC, Keystone First, and PA Health & Wellness clientsEqual Opportunity Employer StatementFamiliar Roads Home Healthcare is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
