Job Type: Local contract

Contract Length: 05+months Pay Range: $19.85 to $21.26/hour* *Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.

Job Responsibilities:

• Serve as the first point of contact for patients and provide a professional, welcoming experience.
• Perform quality blood draws and prepare specimens for laboratory testing according to established procedures.
• Explain collection procedures to patients and create an atmosphere of trust and confidence.
• Perform both clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing duties.
• Follow laboratory procedures and maintain accuracy, confidentiality, and patient information security.
• Complete daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
• Maintain required records and documentation.
• Demonstrate professionalism and promote a positive image with patients, clients, employees, and the public.
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Perform pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy.
• Remain flexible based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience required.
• 1+ year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric patients.
• Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
• Strong customer service skills; experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboarding and data-entry experience required.
• Ability to produce accurate, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
