Clinical Nurse - General Medicine II (Renal/Endocrine)

Position Summary 12‑hour shifts with day/night rotation (7:00 am–7:30 pm alternating with 7:00 pm–7:30 am). Full‑time, 36 hours per week. Rotations include every third weekend and holidays. Role Purpose Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care. Responsibilities Promotes patient and family‑centered care in a healing environment. Educates patients and families on managing illness or injury, including post‑treatment home care and medication administration. Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Engages in professional development. Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team and patient/family or caregiver, following established guidelines and standards of nursing care. Proactively plans and ensures communication of the care plan across the continuum of care. Uses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care. Assesses patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care, including values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population‑specific needs. Recognized as a safety‑sensitive position; requires constant alertness and safe practice.
