Retail Loss Prevention Detective

Complete daily tasks required for Store Loss Prevention and safety programs Maintain positive relationships with Store Management Conduct apprehensions within established policies and guidelines Communicate with store Associates on damage and shrink initiatives Identify and resolve internal and external theft Adhere to established shoplifter guidelines and policies Provide timely, courteous, and knowledgeable service to customers Promote a culture of honesty and integrity and maintain confidentiality Observe, apprehend, and/or deter acts of dishonesty from outside sources Participate in investigations and surveillance as assigned Ensure apprehensions are consistent with store theft activity Complete and distribute paperwork accurately and promptly Maintain appropriate evidence and demonstrate understanding of law enforcement procedures Professionally participate in legal activities as needed, such as police calls Coordinate and complete shrink-related activities with Store Management Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures Support store shrink reduction goals and programs Encourage Associate use of shrink reduction resources Promote safety awareness and support a safe environment Requirements Excellent communication skills and sound judgment Basic computer skills Basic time management skills Investigative and analytical skills Ability to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors Ability to work a flexible schedule to support business needs 0–2 years of retail or security experience Core Competencies Demonstrates strong investigative and analytical skills to identify and resolve theft while maintaining a safe and secure store environment.
